This Blackstone Stir Fry is the perfect healthy dinner for those busy weeknights. In less than 30 minutes you can have dinner on the table and an easy healthy meal!
I’m always searching for quick healthy ground beef recipes and this beef and cabbage stir fry has become a family favorite. It’s so healthy and fresh tasting, plus it is extremely easy to throw together. We prefer to cook it outside on our Blackstone Griddle, meaning there’s minimal cleanup left inside. What a win-win!
This stir fry recipe pairs perfectly with my 2-ingredient coconut rice! I highly recommend making both next time you’re in a rush to get dinner on the table!
Ingredients
Each year we purchase a half or whole beef from a local rancher. Due to that, we try to make at least one ground beef recipe per week. I think this one may be my favorite!
- Ground Beef: Use a high quality ground beef for fantastic flavor.
- Cabbage: This recipe uses a whole head of cabbage, the cabbage is so filling in the stir fry.
- Carrots: I recommend grating the carrots in a cheese grater. This reduces their cooking time.
- Onions: One sweet white or yellow onion is all this recipe needs.
- Coconut Aminos: If you’re looking to make stir fry without soy sauce, all you need is coconut aminos! They add amazing flavor and are relatively easy to find in most grocery stores.
Instructions
When grilling on a Blackstone griddle, it’s always important to preheat the grill.
Once the grill is preheated, begin browning the ground beef. If using lean ground beef, you may have to add a bit of oil to the grill.
Once the ground beef is fully cooked, push it off to the side where the burner is set to low. Then add the sliced veggies to the middle of the griddle.
Spread out the vegetables into a thin layer to begin cooking. Flip the veggies as needed to fully cook. The cabbage will begin looking more transparent and may have some charred edges.
Once the vegetables are cooked, move the ground beef back to the center of the griddle and begin mixing the veggies and meat together.
Next begin pouring on the coconut amino’s, turning the stir fry as it’s being seasoned. Allow the mixture to cook for a few more minutes, caramelizing the coconut aminos.
Serve immediately with your favorite stir fry side!
Tips and Variations
Blackstone’s cook best when they are well seasoned. To keep your griddle in good condition, it’s important to always burn off any cooking residue after you’ve finished cooking your stir fry. Then adding a coat of oil to keep the seasoning in good shape!
